METRO NORTH CHAMBER & VECTRA BANK HOST SUCCESSFUL ECONOMIC FORECAST BREAKFAST
A crowd of 300 packed the Denver Marriott Westminster February 10th for the 1st
Annual Metro North Economic Forecast Breakfast, a partnership of the Metro North Chamber and Vectra Bank Colorado.
The event focus was three-fold: an overview of the evolving national demographic and economic pictures from CSU’s Dr. Phyllis Resnick; an examination of Colorado’s shifting demographics from State Demographer Elizabeth Garner; and a close look at the exploding growth and development across the Metro North Region from Barry Gore, President of Adams County Economic Development (ACED).
The bottom lines from each speaker were varied, direct and to the point: Colorado is growing rapidly and the state budget is not keeping up with the growth; the state’s population make-up is shifting and that has many economic implications; and the Metro North Region is the fastest growing in the state with change happening all around us.
All three speakers addressed the challenges and opportunities presented by the region’s rapid growth, the shift in demographics and the economic impacts.
Here is the information presented by each of the three speakers:
- Dr. Phyllis Resnick
- Elizabeth Garner
- Barry Gore
