20% off Winter Watering with Core Lawn and Tree Care
    Why Winter Water?
    On average
-13 inches of snow equals 1 inch of rain in the US, although this ratio can vary from 2 inches for sleet to nearly 50 inches for very dry, powdery snow under certain conditions
    - The average snowfall in CO is 57.5 inches
    - In 2016 Denver's snowfall totaled 21.8 inches

Insufficient moisture combined with the abnormally hot temperatures causes stress on trees. When a tree is stressed it is more easily damaged or infected by insects or disease. A lack of water may also cause premature dropping of leaves and needles and an unhealthy look.Tree watering throughout the winter months in Colorado ensures that trees are receiving proper moisture for overall wellness and health.

CORE will only recommend winter tree watering if there is insufficient moisture (less than 1 inch a month) and/or combined with abnormally warm temperatures. There is minimal recorded moisture for the Denver Metro Area for the month of November, Decemnber, and January-overall 2017 is tied for the third warmest year on the Colorado record. We are recommending supplemental/winter watering.
